My Story

My practice fulfills a passion for helping others. I’ve been an LMT for twenty-five years. Knowing I help clients achieve optimal health inspires me daily. It is my pleasure to welcome all ages and professions, from exhausted executives and muscle strained athletes to anyone interested in improving their wellbeing. Everyone benefits from massage.

After working briefly for local massage chains, I realized I needed an independent practice. Personalized service is my goal with everyone I’m privileged to help. Unlike chain agencies, I have no time restrictions and will continue a session until my client feels better.

There are several reasons why people enjoy massages!

1. Relaxation: Massage therapy can induce a state of deep relaxation. The physical touch, soothing strokes, and gentle pressure used during a massage help to alleviate stress, reduce muscle tension, and promote a sense of calm and relaxation. This relaxation response can be deeply satisfying and enjoyable.

2. Stress Relief: Massage has been shown to reduce stress levels by decreasing the production of stress hormones such as cortisol while increasing the release of feel-good hormones like serotonin and dopamine. This can lead to a sense of overall well-being and contentment.

3. Pain Relief: Massage therapy can help alleviate pain and discomfort. The manipulation of soft tissues, such as muscles and fascia, can improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and release endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving chemicals. This can provide relief from muscle tension, soreness, and certain types of chronic pain.

4. Improved Circulation: The manipulation of soft tissues during a massage can enhance blood circulation. This increased blood flow delivers oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and organs while assisting in the removal of metabolic waste products. Improved circulation can contribute to a feeling of vitality and rejuvenation.

5. Enhanced Mood and Mental Well-being: Massage therapy has been linked to improved mood and mental well-being. The release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters during massage can help reduce anxiety, alleviate symptoms of depression, and promote a sense of happiness and relaxation.

6. Human Touch and Connection: Human touch is a fundamental aspect of massage therapy. The nurturing touch and connection with a skilled massage therapist can provide a sense of comfort, support, and emotional well-being. This aspect of massage can contribute to the overall enjoyment of the experience.
